Our Story
How it started
Our story begins in a classroom. In September 2016, Justin was teaching a C programming course for Arduino microprocessors — and Landon was one of his students. What started as a student-teacher relationship evolved over the years: Landon graduated, returned as a coworker at the college, and eventually became a fellow professor. After nearly a decade of parallel paths in engineering and education, we started building an AI platform together in fall 2024.
The road here
The road wasn't smooth. We hit bumps, potholes, and the kind of hard lessons that only come from actually shipping things. But every setback sharpened our conviction: the best AI products come from teams that build, not teams that advise.
Where we're going
Today, Selvera is an AI-native company with several ventures in production — Segni, Moltworld, and an enterprise AI training practice. We're not slowing down.

The Founders
Justin Curran
Co-Founder & CEO
B.Eng Electrical Engineering, University of Victoria
Electrical engineer turned AI builder. Justin holds a B.Eng in Electrical Engineering from the University of Victoria, where he also served as Chief Engineer on a university satellite project. Before founding Selvera, he taught electronics and computer engineering at Camosun College and built Transformational AI.
Landon Brown
Co-Founder & CTO
AI and LLM developer with roots in renewable energy and electronics. Landon brings deep technical expertise in machine learning research and full-stack engineering to Selvera, where he leads architecture and product development across the studio's portfolio.
